Purser personal-use privacy notice

Purser is Captain Charles's private, non-commercial personal finance software for his own connected accounts. It is not a service offered to other customers.

Enable Banking retrieves balances and transactions after the account owner's bank consent. Purser stores these records and local budgets and categories in the owner's protected homelab. Account access is read-only. The signing key and bot credentials are kept in 1Password and protected runtime files.

When the owner requests AI analysis, selected financial summaries or records are sent to the configured OpenAI provider. The private Matrix room uses encryption; Purser's shared Honcho memory integration is disabled. Operational source code and sanitised handover records are stored in the owner's private Forgejo, without financial records or credentials.

The owner can revoke bank consent and stop collection, and controls retention and deletion of the local financial ledger and conversation history. Purser does not sell financial data, initiate payments, or offer accounts to third parties.

Data-protection contact: the application owner's email registered with Enable Banking and supplied in its production registration form.
